This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to the business affairs of various regional sales companies under contract with the North American Phonograph Co. Included are an annual report of the Metropolitan Phonograph Co. and correspondence about the use of the phonograph in the printing industry and about the development of a nickel-in-the-slot device by the Colorado and Utah Phonograph Co. There are also many letters by Edward D. Easton, president of the Columbia Phonograph Co., concerning technical problems and improvements in the phonograph.

Approximately 70 percent of the documents have been selected. The following categories of documents have not been selected: routine correspondence regarding financial transactions, requests for employment, advertising, and other promotions of the phonograph; letters of transmittal.
