This folder contains correspondence relating to the commercial development of Edison's alkaline storage battery in Japan and other parts of Asia. Most of the material pertains to the appointment of E. H. Hunter & Co. as the sole agents for Edison's storage battery in Japan, Korea, Formosa, and Manchuria. Also included is a letter by Everett W. Frazar concerning the potential in Japan for Edison's business in storage batteries, cement products, and phonographs.
