This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to the Legal Dept. of Thomas A. Edison, Inc., and to the administration of legal matters. Among the items for 1914 is a letter from Robert A. Bachman pertaining to the replacement of documents from the Legal Dept. that were destroyed in the fire of December 9. According to a marginal notation by Edison, "nearly everything [was] lost in legal dept."
Less than 5 percent of the documents have been selected. The material not selected consists primarily of letters of transmittal and correspondence that received no substantive reply from Edison, including documents concerning royalties owed to Edison by C.R. Baird & Co.
