The correspondents for 1914 include U.S. Representatives John J. Fitzgerald and John V. Lesher. Also included are items pertaining to a process for plasticizing silk, patented in 1884 by Charles S. Lockwood.
Approximately 60 percent of the documents, including all items bearing substantive marginalia by Edison, have been selected. The material not selected consists primarily of unsolicited correspondence.
