This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to Port Huron, Michigan, where Edison lived from 1854 to 1863. Included are appeals from civic and charitable organizations and letters seeking information about Edison's childhood. The documents for 1915 include an invitation to visit from Mayor John L. Black, along with reminiscences by boyhood acquaintance J. P. Wilkinson.
Approximately 60 percent of the documents have been selected, including all of the letters with substantial marginalia by Edison.
