Description

This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to cement technology and to Edison's cement business. Among the items for 1919 are communications to George Eastman of Eastman Kodak Co., Ernest G. Liebold of the Ford Motor Co., and other company officials requesting that they consider using Edison cement in their new factories. Other correspondents include the noted bridge engineer Joseph B. Strauss and inventor W. L. Wootton, who patented a cement strengthening compound with the assistance of Edison's Legal Dept.

Approximately 70 percent of the documents have been selected. The unselected items consist of letters that did not receive a substantive reply.
