This invoice book covers the period May 1892-January 1895. It contains accounts of monies paid out by Mina Miller Edison to various household accounts. Included are charity, entertainment, furniture, medical, and living expense accounts. Monies paid out to the Edison children are sometimes indicated. In addition, there are lists of stocks owned by Mina Edison and occasional correspondence. The front cover is marked "Mrs. Mina M. Edison." The spine, which is stamped "Invoices," is marked "Mrs. M. M. Edison" and is labeled "1." The book contains 499 numbered pages. At least one page has been removed from the book. Some of the items may be difficult to read due to spreading brown ink and faint green ink.
Approximately 20 percent of the book has been selected. The selected items include monthly statements, lists of stocks and bonds, Marion Edison's accounts with Mina Edison, and substantive correspondence.
