This invoice book covers the period December 1894-July 1897. It contains accounts of monies paid out by Mina Miller Edison to various household accounts. Included are charity, entertainment, furniture, medical, and living expense accounts. Monies paid out to the Edison children are sometimes indicated. In addition, there are lists of company bonds and occasional correspondence. One letter refers to Madeleine Edison's scarlet fever. The front cover is marked "Mrs. Thos. A. Edison" and "No. 2." The spine is stamped "Invoices." The book contains 497 numbered pages followed by one unnumbered page. Several pages have been removed from the book. Some of the items may be difficult to read due to spreading brown ink and faint brown and green ink.
Less than 10 percent of the book has been selected. The selected items include monthly statements, lists of stocks and bonds, Marion Edison's accounts with Mina Edison, and substantive correspondence.
