Several of the entries note the involvement of Alexander N. Pierman. The first entry indicates that much of this work was conducted at Edison's laboratory at Fort Myers, Florida. Inserted into the book are several pages of notes and drawings relating to the phonograph experiments. The front cover is marked "Phonograph No 2 April, May, 1910." The pages are unnumbered. Approximately 30 pages have been used.
