This notebook covers the period March 1888-April 1889. It was used by Erwin Von Wilmowsky for rough notes and calculations regarding chemical analyses and the preparation of chemical compounds. Included are analyses of chemicals ordered for the laboratory and assays of copper and nickel ores. The prepared compounds were designated for use in various experiments, including phonograph cylinders and insulation. The book also contains scattered entries relating to battery, filament, insulation, and chemical ore separation experiments. There is a table of contents at the beginning of the book. The spine is labeled "57." The book contains 186 numbered pages. Nine loose pages of correspondence, notes, and other material relating to Von Wilmowsky have been inserted into the book.
Only the material pertaining to battery, filament, insulation, and chemical ore separation experiments has been selected.
