This notebook was used by Zachariah P. Halpin during July-December 1913 for experimental notes on a variety of subjects. Included are tests on disc and cylinder phonographs, similar to those in N-13-06-13 [not selected]. There are also experiments on business and dictating machines and on home and professional kinetoscopes. Additional entries pertain to storage battery testing and to rectifier tests involving Westinghouse, "Chesler," and "stock" machines. Several entries indicate Edison's oversight of Halpin's work in the form of comments, suggestions, instructions, approval, and complaints. The notes indicate that Adolph F. Gall and Charles W. Luhr were doing similar work on the kinetoscope. The front cover is marked "Kineto's." The book contains 5 numbered pages, followed by approximately 100 unnumbered pages.
