The Thomas A. Edison Papers Digital Edition

This notebook covers the period July 1910-June 1916, with some notations extending to July 1917. It was used by George A. Meister and several unidentified employees for the assignment of sequential account numbers, 2200-4225, to each laboratory project. The entries provide a description of each project, the name of the person or company charged for the work, a date, and frequently a corresponding requisition number. Most entries are noted as "closed." Similar entries for projects numbered 1095-2208 can be found in N-01-03-15. The project numbers were also used to identify experimental expense account entries in the laboratory ledgers and journals. The cover is stamped "3"; the first page is inscribed "2200 To  Thomas A. Edison - Laboratory Experimental -- Number Book -- from July 26 - 1910 to" and "This book not to be taken from Office  G. A. Meister." The book contains 289 numbered pages; it has been used to page 287.
