This letterbook covers the period December 1901-April 1906. The correspondence is by Robert A. Bachman, Patrick Brady, Alvin D. Caskey, Fred C. Devonald, and other laboratory employees. Included are letters to various billing and receiving clerks at the Edison Storage Battery Co. concerning the purchase and repair of automobiles and automobile parts for use with Edison's alkaline storage battery. In addition, there are letters to the Edison Portland Cement Co. regarding the progress of castings being made at area foundries. The selected items illustrate the progress of construction at the Edison Portland Cement Co. and Edison's involvement in the purchase and disposition of supplies. The spine is labeled "1901-1906" and "Lab." The book contains 706 numbered pages and an index.
