The Thomas A. Edison Papers Digital Edition

This journal covers the period March 1908-July 1916. Chronological entries provide information about transactions posted to the accounts recorded in the general ledgers. These entries include accounts for the West Orange and Fort Myers laboratories, Glenmont, and various business operations. Attached to page 325 is a memorandum from Stephen B. Mambert, financial executive of Thomas A. Edison, Inc., regarding the sale of $100,000 of company stock to the Thomas A. Edison, Personal account. Other memoranda concerning the transfer of inter- divisional and departmental account balances to the laboratory account are pasted onto pages 333-338. The spine is stamped "Journal  No. 9 Thomas A. Edison" and is labeled "March 1, 1908 To July 31, 1916." The front cover is labeled "Journal Entries  March 1st 1908-July 31st 1916." The book contains 350 numbered pages.
