Description

This volume covers the period January-November 1878, with a few dated items for 1879. The notes and drawings are by Edison, Charles Batchelor, James Adams, and John Kruesi. Most of the material relates to the telephone. There are also a few drawings of the aerophone, the aurophone, the phonograph, and the microphone. The volume consists of 173 numbered, unbound pages.

Several items from Vol. 14 were published in The Papers of Thomas A. Edison, Vol. 4.

  1. Doc. 1359: The pages are arranged in the following order: 126, 124
  2. Doc. 1362 begins with page 132 and contains four additional pages from the Unbound Notes and Drawings subseries. For the sake of completeness, these images appear immediately following page 132.
  3. Doc. 1470 begins with page 159 and contains one additional pages from Notebook, Vol 18. For the sake of completeness, that image appears immediately following page 159.
