This volume, along with three others numbered 70, 71, and 72, forms a set with the general title "Cases and Points" and the specific title "Quadruplex Case" on their spines. Volume 73 is the third of three volumes of litigation records in Atlantic and Pacific Telegraph Company v. George B. Prescott, Western Union Telegraph Company, Lemuel W. Serrell and Thomas A. Edison. The so-called Quadruplex Case involved rights and title to seven Edison patent applications pertaining to duplex and quadruplex telegraphy. The volume has been selected in its entirety with one exception indicated below.
