The dated items in this collection cover the period June 1924-November 1925; the undated items are probably from around the same period. The documents consist primarily of letters and technical notes exchanged between Edison and his executive advisor Charles Sumner Williams. Other correspondents include purchasing agent A. J. Clark; laboratory employee Ludwig (Louis) Ott; and S. S. Spiro, a wood products company. The documents concern personnel reductions, chemical purchases, arrangements with phonograph jobbers and dealers, the use of wood flour as filler in disc records, and new types of phonograph consoles.
