These documents, which cover the years 1942 and 1997-2005, consist primarily of notes, reminiscences, and newspaper clippings by and about Nancy Miller Arnn (1922-2007), daughter of Mina Miller Edison's brother, John V. Miller, and his wife, Florence Nichols Miller. Several of the documents are undated. Included is birthday telegram from industrialist and family friend Henry Ford, who shared the same birthday (July 30) as Nancy. Also included are a newspaper interview from 1997 and a speech from 2005 in which Nancy reminisces about her life history and her relationship with Thomas Edison. In addition, there are notes by Nancy regarding Thomas and Mina Edison, including references to Mina's finances and her three miscarriages. Another set of notes relates primarily to Michael Edison Sloane, the youngest son of Madeleine Edison Sloane, whom Nancy characterizes as "a strange genius." Included are references to the death of Michael in a mountain climbing accident in Europe and the death of Mina's younger sister, Mary Miller Nichols, as a result of bone cancer.
