\nDear Sir:-
\nI beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of 31st ult., in regard to lighting arrestor.
\nThe best lightning arrestor that I know of is one which is described in some of my patents. It consists of putting a condenser on each side of the dynamo to [illegible]. We use a great many Condensers in connection with my system of Phonoplex Telegraphy, and we find that they are excellent lightning arrestors. In fact, I know of nothing which affords such ample protection.
\nYours very truly,
\nThos A.
