\nDear Sir:-
\n\tI beg to refer to you the enclosed letter received from Mr. E. P. Rasetti, London, England, in regard to an advertisement in the Album of “The Universal Exhibition of Paris, 1889,” and which would appear to have been authorized by Mr. Hammer. We received a former letter from Mr. Rasetti, in which he asked us if we had remitted any moneys to his partner, Mr. Stiassny, on [a/c?] of the advertisement referred to in the foregoing, to which I replied [that?] we had not, his letter being the first intimation we had had of the matter. If you have any information on the subject of this advertisement, I shall be very glad if you will let me hear from you [illegible text] it so that I can reply to Mr. Rasetti’s communication, [illegible text].
\nYours truly,
\nA. O. Tate
