\n13 PARK ROW,

\nMr. A. O. Tate,
\nOrange, N. J.
\nDear Sir:-
\nReferring to your favor of the 29th instant, you are mistaken as to the mode of procedure in this matter, and think the corrections ought to be made without delay.
\nMr. Lippincott did not turn over your check for $3,500. to our Company, nor was this loan credited to your account on our books.
\nMr. Lippincott sent us a check of the North American Phonograph Company for $7,500, and requested us to credit this amount on our books to Messrs. Robinson and Blodgett Trustees.
\nThese instructions have been followed, and we suggest that you secure without delay an order from Messrs. Robinson and Blodgett, instructing us to transfer your share of the entire amount, now to their credit, to your account. There is all told $11,250, to their credit up to date.
\nRegarding form of security, we think your attorney could suggest some plan, by which an acknowledgement of these loans could be [gifted?] in some manner, free from the risk of one of the parties [illegible text] independent of the rest.
\nYours truly,
\nFELIX GOTTSCHALK
\nPresident.
