My dear Mr. Edison,
Some information of a new electric battery has come into my possession. I send you a copy of the German Patent, together with some information that has reached me from Sweden about it.
I had hopes of being able to get possession of this properly, but they seem to be asking an enormous price for it, so I am declining to negotiate further.
