Title

[D8204ZDA], Letter from R H Chipman to Thomas Alva Edison, June 13th, 1882

Editor's Notes

Asked TAE if there were a way to produce cheaply a stone or brick from sand; a lot of sand in Florida. On my return from Florida, Mr Dean has lower prices forging but is not ready to purchase and I requested a few friends to negotiate with your people at Pearl St on coal. Asked about the Glue experiment which would make everyone investing wealthy. [TAE replies: "am wkg on the glue roc kit I think burnt shell lime & sand would with little Rosendale cement make cheap stone (understand Dean got his forging lower than you prior, he ordered immense quantity)"
