reply to 30th, "I think you are in error in stating that I charged you with being dishonest. I had information that led me to believe that something of very peculiar character had taken place with relation to the pay-rolls at Goerck Street, and my informant connected your name with it. I am glad to hear, however, that you are perfectly innocent."
