Title

[D8336D], Letter from Francis Raymond Welles to Samuel Insull, March 1st, 1883

Editor's Notes

[from Antwerp] Pls tell TAE that Australian light Cos have been as successful as expected. "Draper writes that they hae not got their capital yet, principally owing to the fact that our mutual friend Sir Julius Vogel, finding that he could not crry out his Brush enterprise, set himself to work to defeat the Edison, and has spent money like water to do it." He's trying to force compromise like he tried on telephones.
