Title
[D8818ANT1], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to James Terry Abbe, June 25th, 1888
Editor's Notes
re your letter 14th, re the elctrical lifting of sheets of paper from a pile I find that under favorable circumstances detached sheets can be so lifted but I think it a grave question whether the necessary conditions can be practically maintained in actual operation. On a damp day for example, you would be liable to either pick up several sheets at once, or more probably none at all. So that while it might be worth your while to try experiments under actual conditions success would be by no means a foregone conclusion.
