Title
[D8905AJE], Letter from Michael Augustine Corrigan to Thomas Alva Edison, December 5th, 1889
Editor's Notes
Dear Sir The Rev. Mr. Lambert, who has devoted forty years of his life to the care of the deaf and dumb in France, has requested me to interest your good services in behalf of this suffering class of humanity. He trusts that some application of your phonograph may be of great benefit to the deaf and dumb. I sincerely hope that you may be able to relieve these poor sufferers; and in that hope beg to commend very earnestly to your kind consideration the request of this good French priest. I have the honor to be, Dear Sir, Very respectfully, Your obedient servant, M.A Corrigan Abp of New York [lower right hand corner of page: business car of L'Abbe L.M Lambert]
