I have pleasure in informing you that, with the approval of the President His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, the Council of the Society of Arts have awarded you, in consideration of the distinguished Services you have rendered to the progress of Electric lighting, telegraphy, and the telephone, the Albert Medal of the Society, which it is their custom to bestow every year for distinguished merit in the promotion of Arts,
