Mch. 5th 1892
West Virginia
Dear Sir,
Will you kindly us do us a favor and give us some information regarding Mr. T.D. Marshall who writes that he has executed some work for you. We are especially interested with reference to his fitness with for underground service and mapping. And desire information regarding his character and habits. Is he an energetic or rapid workman of good disposition and has he preference for electrical or outdoor work?
Anything you may be please to say will be considered confidential
Your truly
F. Howard
Manager
<He is a sort of a Mug wump chemist as for underground surveying he not only doesn’t know anything but don’t suspect anything. The man is faithful & I think honest. TAE>
