Oct. 11, 1892.
James L. Plimpton, Esq.,
No. 30 Stuyvesant Street,
New York City.
Dear Sir:-
Mr. Edison duly received your letter of 5th instant, relative to the decision in his favor rendered by the Court of Appeals in the filament suit. He is very much obliged for your kind congratulations, and I beg to thank you in his behalf for the same. The patent sustained by the Courts is the first one of 700 that has ever been received decision, which, as Mr. Edison says, is not very encouraging.
Yours truly,
Private Secretary.
