Nov. 1, 1892. E H. Moeran, Esq., No. 106 Broadway, New York City. Dear Sir:- Mr. Edison has received your letter of 28th ultimo, asking if he considers the property knows as the J. E. Smith farm at Menlo Park, N. J., a safe loan for $5,000. In reply he directs me to inform you that his impression is you would have difficulty in getting the money back in the event of your making such a loan.
