Dear Sirs:-  
Mr. Edison has directed me to thank you for the copy of your book, “Telegraphic Connections,” which you kindly sent to him, and which he duly received. He says that the explanatory diagrams contained in this work are the beat he has yet seen. 
In your description of the Quadruplex, you refer to it, erroneously, as the joint invention of Thomas A. Edison and George B. Prescott. The idea that Mr. Prescott was co-inventor with Mr. Edison of the Quadruplex, was proved in Court to be a fiction.
