Dec. 23, 1892. Thomas Barr, Esq., President, Newark Street Railway Company, Newark, N.J. Dear Sir:- Will you kindly give us permission to reconnect the wire from our Galvanometer Room to your trolley line. We are conducting some experiments on volt meters and your system furnishes us with an opportunity to make excellent tests. These are static volts meters and take absolutely no current whatever. The wire above referred to is a very small one. If you can grant us this permission we will appreciate your courtesy very highly. Yours very truly,
