Morristown N.J. Aug 25 1892 Mr. Thomas A. Edison Dear Sir: I am interested, as a property owner and manufacturer long the line, in building a piece of railroad 16 miles from Caldwell (now Montclair) to Rockaway. At Caldwell we connect with the "Erie R.R." and at Rockaway with the C.R.R. of N.J. which runs through to Dover, Lake Hoptacong, and so on to your property, making a short line to New York City. I would like to talk the matter over with you, and others in your section of the country where and when could I see, on with most commerce to yourself, an answer will oblige. Yours truly, H.C.
