- Editor's Notes
- Your favor of the 5th was duly received. From present appearances I think I can safely say that the Edison Electric Light Company of America will have one Station established and in full working order lighting the lower portion of the City of New York before the first of May 1881. The Edison Electric Ligh co of Europe (office No 19 William Street N York city) have full control of the Electric Light so far as Europe is concerned. They will be prepared to negotiate about the first of January next.
