Title
[LB014028], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to W C Baker, Jr., August 23rd, 1882
Editor's Notes
Referring to your favor of 14th inst. What I wished you to understand was that I did not [care] to apply my electric motor to an ordinary Street Rail Road running through the Strets of a City. If it is a regular railroad running through the City I would apply my Electric Locomotive to it. There being one, two or more trains on the road at the same time would not make the slightest difference. As to Siemens Rail Road I think you would find it the opposite to practical if you tried it.
