Your favor of the 21st inst. came duly to hand. I am very much obliged to you for the encouraging information it contains concerning the progress of our system of Electric lighting in Austria. If from time to time you can favor me with such items of information I shall esteem it a very great favor indeed. We are making very rapid progress in this country in connection with our business. Our isolated company is doing a very large business indeed lighting mills theatres &c; our Central Station in New York City is working perfectly and has not stopped one instant since it was first started on the 4th September of last year.##We have recently organized a Department for developing the lighting of small towns and villages and have secured a number of contracts for Central Station plants in towns where from 1000 to 3000 lights are used; this part of our business promises to be very successful also.##Again thanking you for your letter I remain
