- Mr. Edison desires me to acknowledge your favor of the 3rd. inst. and to say in reply that he has not a chemist at present in his service to whom he can submit the ore you refer to for test. It is possible, however, that during the Winter he [will] engage one, and if you write to him about january 1st., he may be able to make the test you desire.
