Title
[LB020245A], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Edgar Fulton Dutton, April 17th, 1885
Editor's Notes
"The industrial development of the world has taken the form of periodic steps and these have come to be known as the stone age, the iron age, the age of steam &c. &c. There can be but little doubt that the next era of development will be known as the electric, in which case there need be no fear of a surplus of workers. My advice is, therefore, that you continue in your chosen path and thoroughly acquaint yourself, both theoretically and practically with the subject of electricity and its manifold applications."
