- Editor's Notes
- ## Referring to your favor of the the 20th of June which came to hand during my absence from the city. I beg to state that electricity has now been used to any practical extent in heat producing but it has been used on a small scale for the fusing of metals to {illegible} consider it hardly practicable to use electricity for heating. ## From 50% to 60% of power is commercially available after transmission over the distance you speak of. It would requie considerable calculation to get out the data you ask for but if it is likely to lead to business I will try and arrange to furnish you with it.
