## Referring to your favor of the 18th of June, which came to hand while I was away from the city, you have evidently not operated with carbon (?) in the proper names as one of my assistants made carbons in a hand press which burned against a regular carbon of equal size, lasted one third longer than the regular carbon. I should advis you to experiment further on the same lines.
