- Your favor of 6th inst, addressed to Menlo Park, has been forwarded to Mr. Edison's office here. It will be impossible to get at him for some weeks to come, so I take the liberty of replying. Mr. Edison always pronounces his name Ed-ison, that is -E- short and not {underlined in original} Edison (E long). The latter pronunciation is used by some of his relatives.
