- Editor's Notes
- Your favor of the 13th April addressed to Mr. Hastings, with relation to the stock of the Edison Illuminating Company of London, has been referred to me for reply. There is no such company as the "Edison Illuminating Co. of London". The Company originally formed to work Mr. Edison's patents in England was called "The Edison Electric Light Co. of London, Limited". This Company has since been amalgamated with the Swan Electric Light Co. of Newcastle, and the Company is now known as "The Edison-Swan United Electric Light Co. of London". Their offices are at 57 Holbord Viaduct, London, E. C., and the Secretary and Manager of the Company is Major Flood Page. If you write to him, you can doubtless obtain full information as to the standing of the Company to-day. Yours very truly,
