- Title
- [LB025044H], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to George H Gould, July 21st, 1887
- Editor's Notes
- In reply to your letter of the 18th instant I beg to say that I am making substantial improvements at the present time in connection with my Phonograph, and in the course of a couple of months I will be prepared to put this improved instrument upon the market and at that time will be glad to give you full information in regard to its operation. ## The instrument as heretofore constructed would not admit of continuous speech of an hours duration without changing the tin foil on the Cylinder, which of course means interruption.
