Title
[LB025089B], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Globe Machine Co, September 12th, 1887
Editor's Notes
In reference to your inquiry of the 26th ult. I am at present engaged in improving my Phonograph so as to increase its commercial value. The machine as formerly constructed is made by Messrs. Birdman & Co., No. 292 Avenue 2., New York, from whom you can procure one if you do not wish to wait a month or two for the improved instrument above referred to. ## In regard to the Electric Pen, I have not oe at hand at the moment with which I could supply you, but if you are in a hurry for a reduplicating apparatus to send to your friends in South America, I would suggest that you inspect my Mimeograph, which can be seen in operation at No. 19 Dey Street. This is the most recent improvement in the way of reduplicating machine, and it is possible that it might suit you better than the Electric Pen. At the address above indicated you will be furnished with all information in regard to prices &c. Initialled by T.
