Title

[LB025382], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Francis Darr, November 2nd, 1888

Editor's Notes

Dear Sir:- I have received your letter of 31st ult., enclosing a communication addressed to myself by Col. Gouraud and take pleasure in replying to the same. The phonograph is to be merchandised in the United States and Canada by the North American Phonograph Co., No. 160 Broadway, New York City. This organization is a parent company, and their method is to form sub-companies, granting territorial rights to the latter. I do not know what condition these local organizations are in or what opportunity there may be for you to form a connection wit hthe North American people: but I have forwarded your letter to Mr. Jesse H. Lippincott, President of the North American Phonograph Org., who with trust communicate with your effort.
