- Title
- [LB025446], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Dorothy Quincy Roosevelt, November 9th, 1888
- Editor's Notes
- Mr. Edison received your note of 6th inst. And has a asked me to reply to it as he never has timeto write letters himself.##Mr. Edison has some dolls which are learning to talk and which are at one time hoped to have ready from Santa Clause at Christmas. It has taken longer to teach them to speak correctly if they are expected and they cannot be ready now before Easter. You can however look forward to having a talking doll when that time comes this I cannot promise that it will walk as well.
