Title

[LB031417], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Bristol Iron Co Ltd, Caleb C Symons, July 25th, 1889

Editor's Notes

With reference to your letter of 20th instant, addressed to Mr. Edison, the latter desires me to say, that his Ore Milling process is for concentrating ores from 30 per cent to 65% and 67%, and eliminating phosphorus and sulphur without roasting. The smallest size mill [unclear] we make has a capacity of 200 tons crude ore per 24 hours. We lose about 3 to 4 per cent of iron in tailings. We take contracts to separa+te, erecting the mill with our own capital, or erect mill at cost, and charge royalty. Yours truly, AO Tate
