"In reply to your letter of 29th August, I beg to inform you that Mr. Thomas A. Edison is not an Englishman. He was born at Milan, Ohio, United States of America. The family of Edisons, of which Mr. Edison is a descendant, migrated to America from Holland in 1703. Mr. Edison is, therefore, of Dutch descent.
