Clemens Herschel, Esq., Engineer,
East Jersey Water Co.,
#2 Wall St. (Room 55), New York City
Dear Sir:-
Referring to your correspondence with Mr. Edison concerning the feasibility long lines of steel pipe from rust, would say that Mr. Edison's method is intended more particularly for the protection of the sides of steamships, and is not intended to supersede a process which by one application does the work once and for all.
Yours very truly,
A.O. Tate
